...But barriers are best
when they open and close
so let it all in
or give it the hose
I've got no choice but to commence...
Ha Ha, "give it the hose"...(or let it all in)
I like this attitude Paul. You sound ready to "fight thou thy fight!" as Krishna says to Arjuna in the "Gita".

Thanks Mat. Very interesting text. I've heard positive things about the Bhagavad Gita from people who I respect. I recall trying to read it when I was younger but had difficulty comprehending it. I'm definitely going to read it again one of these days soon.

Hi Paul,
"...Offer to me all thy works and rest thy mind on the Supreme.
Be free from vain hopes and selfish thoughts,
and with inner peace
fight thou thy fight.”
(BG 3.27-30)
or, in other words,
"I've got no choice but to commence..." (Paul Wade Haddad) HA!
Yeh,
I love the Gita. I always have a copy near at hand to freshen me up. It is like "The sermon on the mount" x 10 + a deep breath.
Juan Muscaro's translation is the one to get if you do buy/get the book.
Muscaro was a very interesting thinker and lover of spiritual literature. A Spaniard who translated Hindi into English.
(We have our own "Muscaro" on the forum. Doron Cohen, an Isreali who translates English (Leonard Cohen's poetry/books) into Japanese.)
I became aware of the brilliant work of Muscaro while reading the "Dark Night of the Soul" by the wonderful Spanish Mystic, San Juan de la Cruz. My favorite poet.
Nevertheless, despite all these great people, you are already onto it, with lines like '...no choice but to commence'.
Thanks for the poetry, Paul,
all good things to you.
Mat.

Thanks for the info and the kind words, Mat. I'm looking forward to giving the Gita a read and San Juan de la Cruz as well. I just read a few of his poems. I really like "Song of the Soul that Delights in Knowing God through Faith"
