Welcome to the Forum!
The tour will end in New Zealand in December. We have not heard of any tour plans for 2014.

Hi ondei ~
Welcome to the Forum from me, too. Hope you stick around. You can go to the Comments & Questions section and introduce yourself on the "Hello . . . " thread. Let us know how you discovered Leonard, etc. How I WISH Leonard would decide to perform at least once somewhere in South America. If he tours, again, who knows... we can hope! [I don't live there, but would love to see the South Americans/Mexico/somewhere south of the U.S. to benefit.

From the Trivia Department:
If Leonard decides to resume touring in 2014/2015 and performs 132 more times, he will have played 1,000 concerts in his career.
And amazingly, more than half of the total (503) will have been performed after his 73rd birthday!
Here's hoping.....

Chuck Berry performs in Helsinki this Wednesday. October 18 was his 87th birthday (born in 1926 in St Louis, Missouri).

A few messages from Jarkko which i
choose to interpret as real hope that we see Leonard again after the 2013 tour , even though there are no immediate plans

Maybe it's just my imagination (in that case, sorry), but I remember reading another sentence instead of this one. Actually, almost the same, but without "we have not heard", just - no current plans. Am I right, am I wrong?..

Last November, I read an interview with Alex Bublitchi on a Romanian website. When asked about his contract, he answered:
"The contract is for 18 months. Obviously it all depends on his (Leonards) health ... And after 18 months if all goes well, it is possible to extend up to three years. After the North American tour, intended concerts in South America and South Africa all continents ... He (LC) says: "We have to follow the sun"."
Although he gave this interview a year ago and tourplans may have changed in the meantime, it could mean that South America and South Africa are the next lucky continents.
Here's a link to the entire interview (it's in Romanian so you might want to use Google Translate):

It's an interesting read, especially the part about how he had to wait 5 years to finally become part of the band. I was also surprised to read that he has so much to say, as he generally appears to be quite shy and resevered. I guess still waters do run deep...

South America and South Africa were included in the first tentative plans for 2013 but later dropped for various technical and logistic reasons.

Thanks so much Brenda, for posting this and welcome to the forum!
I had no trouble with google translation generally – some amusing parts in it. It was enjoyable to ‘hear’ Alex speak so forthrightly! Truly informative overall, especially for me about his violins. I was wondering what type(s) he played and now I know. Interestingly, my violin is hand made in Romania. The wood it’s made of comes from the same region that many old Italian masters got the wood for their violins. Now if I could only get that fact to make itself obvious in my playing! Yes, I need all the help I can get! But never mind, very soon I will see Alex play up close and it will be more than a delight for me

Well, sure, he lives here. But we've been given to understand that there are no touring plans at this time for 2014.
