Registration to the Leonard Cohen 2014 Event is now open.

The programme for next year’s event is beginning to take shape and we recommend you register early. Our Events are not commercial undertakings so the participation fees are required to cover all the expenses associated with organising an international event including the venues, the hiring of technical and musical equipment, the souvenir programme and so on.

Registration Process

• Email: Bookings@leonardcoheneventdublin.com
Include your name, mobile phone number and country of residence. Indicate if you are paying by bank transfer or PayPal.

• Pay the registration fee.

• The registration fee is €145. There is an Early Bird registration fee of €130 for bookings made before end of November 2013. (PayPal fee is included).

• You will receive a confirmation email when your payment has been received.


How to pay the Registration Fee?

Payments can be made by direct bank transfer or PayPal.
Foreign cheques/money orders or credit card payments are not accepted.

Please note a list of the participants’ names will appear on the Leonard Cohen Files, if you don’t want your name listed in public please state this in your email.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can only be made by emailing: Bookings@leonardcoheneventdublin.com


October 2013 – January 31st 2014 100% refund.
February 1st – April 30th 2014 50% refund.

Cancellations made after April 30th 2014 will not be eligible for a refund.

Paula, I live in Ireland. Can I just go into a branch of the bank and pay using the sort code number and the bank account number?

Olwen, that's the way you guys in Ireland will do it. People in other countries of the European SEPA area have to use the BIC/SWIFT and IBAN codes.
For members outside Europe it might be easiest and cheapest to use PayPal. Note that you don't need to have/open a PayPal account, you may also do it through PayPal with just a credit card!

I have a query before registering.
On the original post it said 7th - 10th August, 2014.
On this new update it says 6th - 10th August, 2014.
Need to have the correct dates before booking flights, etc...

The event will run over three days from August 7-10th, 2014. However, in previous events, people gathered on the evening before-hand to register and also to meet with fellow Cohenistas for a meal/singalong. In Dublin we plan to have registration on the Thursday evening and again on Friday morning.

This is an international event also and has many visitors.
The hotels are usually all booked out for that week so it might be wise to book early for the LC Dublin event.

Yes, this is Horse Show week every year, always extremely busy for Dublin hotels.
First it was Cork, now it's Dublin during Horse Show week?!
Might be wise to move it again...

All information and updates about the 2014 Leonard Cohen Event will appear here on the Forum and on the LC Files.

With regard to other events taking place at the same time in Dublin and accommodation concerns - there is a huge variety of accommodation in Dublin spanning the spectrum from hotels, guesthouses, hostels, bed and breakfasts, AirBnB, student residences etc. The Event will not be in Ballsbridge where the horse show takes place. A comprehensive list of accommodations will be posted next week.

Please don't move it again. Our schools go back on 12th August. I'm pushing my luck by staying til the 11th.

One major change, from Cork to Dublin, is enough.
Still, too bad for those of us who love LC and horses!
