The last train

Here I am,
Always the same.
But getting now worse,
In this rotten old game.
Hell in my stomach,
Pain in my mind,
Frozen my soul,
As the truth I do find.
It wasn't your fault,
And it wasn't really mine,
Just the way that it's fixed,
At the end of the line.
The air is thick,
With noise and with space,
The distances between us,
Are filled with your face.
Madness is here,
Pinned to the wall,
While the illusions of sanity,
Like sad rain do fall.
Fall from the sky,
Fall into hell,
The angles are calling,
With the ring of death's bell.
Fall to the ground,
Fall on your face,
Never deserving,
The cruelty nor grace.
I'm waiting in silence,
On this empty platform,
Waiting for the last train,
To take me back home.
