Hey, does anyone here like Mercury Rev. I dug out my cd tonight and forget about their song that has a reference to Leonard in it! (Forgive me if it's already been posted!)
A Drop In Time by Mercury Rev
A year is just a drop in time
It cannot touch the female form in my bed
She is just a friend of mine
In the dark she knows
The touch of my hand
Let the music play like you want it to
Let the sun shine light in your hair
Let the moonlight play
At your feet like a babe
And softly linger there
Her words profane, her mouth divine
I tried to sympathise with both sides
But I was caught, like a fleeting thought,
Stuck inside Leonard Cohen's mind
We met on a beach in Greace
And parted on a rusty Spanish stair
Two birds in the distance fly
They land and they settle down,
Somewhere
A year is just a drop in time
It cannot touch her female form
In my head
She was just a friend of mine
In the dark she knew
The touch of my hand

I really liked their support show for Nick Cave last November.

Tom: A bit off topic here, but you had mentioned Feist sometime back. I've had the chance to listen to her and find her quite good. She has a direct almost dramatic approach (though not overdone at all) that is quite engaging. I'm going to Vancouver first week in March and shall be on the lookout for something by her.
Regards,
Linda.

I think she has two albums, the last one is Let It Die which made her famous. The early one is - I heard - totally different style. Also, she sang with Kings of Convenience (didn't like them, although people greet their Simon&Garfunkel style).
She has a certain melodramatic quality which maked her a little repulsive to some people. I think that's happening in her appearance also. I do catch that note here and there also, but the other qualities make her really good.

I see. She looks like Patti Smyth! I bet Patti had some influence on Feist. Oh, the internet is a wonderful thing, is it not? I'm glad I've got this post in as I've been losing my internet connection of and on for a bit, now. I either need a new computer or a new internet connection. Shall check her out when I'm in Vancouver.

be my guest, cia...
Jarkko, this is a strange phenomenon. The change in the time-out variable didn't really fix it... I'd probably have to look at the source code to find out anything. but i ain't got the time for that. Maybe the programmers from the
phpBB Group will be able to fix that bug in the new version.
They will need, of course, information as detailed as possible. Thus I'd ask everyone to inform the site master about all the details when problems appear (browser used, operating system, time logged in, time inactive...)
Hopefully we'd be able to reduce the involuntary "guest" posts that way.
cheers
tom
