For those who haven't been to a bobness gig in recent years and will be buying ticket, be prepared for an "imposter"

Like millions of others, I have been a follower of Bob Dylan since the 60's and enjoyed every single concert I have ever attended................... but In the last couple of years or so in London and Paris (twice just to see if it was a bad night the first time) !!) it has been dire and believe me, it takes a lot for me to say that. The man that sings on his latest albums and produced in a studio, are not the sound you will experience at a gig. Full marks for him continuing his "Never Ending Tour" he will (like us) get his loyal fans and those who want to see a legend but sadly I will no longer go and see someone that is simply going through the motions and whose distinctive voice is no longer there.

Imposter is a bit strong Vicomte, but I know what you mean. Yes, the voice is goosed but I think at times it adds a certain gravitas to some of the numbers. Like a lamb to the slaughter, I dutifully bought tickets for all three Glasgow gigs this morning . I just can't help myself!

On a separate, but similar note, I was at the Neil Young gig last night. The voice is still there as is the virtuoso guitar breaks. But oh dear, twice he subjected us to self indulgent 'feedback sessions' at the end of songs. Both lasted in excess of 20 minutes.Took the shine right off what had just gone beforehand. Pity.

Re Neil: surely you were expecting the lengthy feedback sessions? They're nothing new and, in fact, my two sons thought they were one of the highlights of the set ...

Yes, was able to get great seats for all three nights Wendy.
Have experienced Neil's feedback sessions before, but last night was awful. Overall though, he was in fine form. Even played Blowin' in the Wind.
