well, one should start the conversation

Thanks again, Jarkko!
we can imagine how much time consuming work you have with these announcements

Montreux didn“t fit in our itinerary anyway

could have got 9th row in the balcony for 320 CHF
seems too far from the stage for that price

I also hoped, that he would come to an other venue then the Montreux Jazz Festival. It's really expensive. I'd rather like the Paleo Festival in Nyon.

Item, I'm not sure to go, even though I'm from Switzerland.

Montreux is the only location to be announced today. There is still a tentative, not-yet-confirmed date in the area. We don't know if and when it will be confirmed & announced.

I would love to go to the Montreux Jazz Festival one day (not necessarily to see Leonard) but I was saved from a very expensive decision today as we are due to fly to Rome on July 4!

Thanks for offering us the possibility to buy pre-sale tickets. Much appreciated considering how difficult it is when the official sales begin (everything is sold out in a few minutes).

Yes it's expensive but the conditions are probably the best you can have for such an event. A unique occasion to see him in a small capacity hall (3,5000 pers max) with a sound near perfection.

Looking very forward to going.

Thanks again

Alex

Wow, got a ticket for thusday concert, the cheapest one, finding accomodation won't be easy i guess.
I been loving for a long time two excelent bootleg cd recordings in montreux, one from the 1975 tour, with wonderfull renditions of "there is a war" or "storeroom" and another one from the various positions tour entitled "diamonds on the mine field".
I would never dare dreaming i'l have the chance of going to a Leonard concert in montreux festival.
Thank you.

9th row balcony only by the looks of it. I wonder where the cheap seats are? Out in the foyer maybe! :)

Wow "Tickets 125-320 CHF + fees (103-264 eur + fees)" and I thought the concerts were already horrible expensive.

There are price levels of tix for sale, including floor which is what I took...for both nights :-) thanks Jarkko for making it possible!

Floor if I remember right is in front of the stage! Balcony is at the back I think.

EDIT: I bought an extra Category 2 tix for one night just to make sure I am ok! So standing one night, seating the next...it's a nice combo.

Beware before you order tickets for the Montreux concerts:

The most expensive tickets Category 1 are actually on the balcony quite far away from the stage.
If you want to sit as close to the stage as possible, you have to choose Category 2.
Category 3 are standing tickets behind the seats of category 2, but you are still closer to the stage than the expensive seats in category 1...

Update 18/04/2013:
Apparently, the pre-sale-tickets for category 1 were just on the balcony (at least, when I tried for the best category, the system always wanted to give me tickets on the balcony). That's why I thought ALL the category tickets would be on the balcony.
But today, when it showed the seating chart, the best tickets in front of the stage were actually also Category 1. Why it wasn't possible to book them yesterday, no clue.

So Category 1 is on the balcony as well as row 1-14 in front of the stage.
Category 2 is row 15 to 24.
Category 3 is standing tickets behind row 24 and the mixing desk.

I am very sorry about the confusion...

Dear Leonard,

Would you please sing 'Take this waltz' at Montreux Jazz festival? You would make a Cuban fan very, very happy. See you soon!
