To A Man

You look gentle in your business suit
Teach me how to make a tie like that
On someone else
But mainly you
And teach me
History
And teach me
How two hands fold
Into
Each other
And teach me
How to laugh
At the mornings
Which fall
Apart

Ann-Marie, this is a really nice poem. It has an easy natural rhythm. However, it does sound very much like you are describing a relationship between a younger girl and an older man. Such liasons are of course to be frowned upon (hee hee hee).
I look forward to you posting more poems and I join the others who welcomed you to this forum,
regards

Gentle and sensual, in its understated way, Anne-Marie. Very nice.

My dearest Lizzytysh,
Are you really that obtuse?
I'm beginning to think you enjoy being duped. Get it through your lovely but rather dense head---Anne-Marie is Critic2. He is both the teacher and the history student. Strange bedfellows.

I specifically enjoyed the image of mornings falling apart. Good piece, Anne-Marie.
YdF - your way of interjecting variations of your obsession is annoying. This is the place to discuss a poem. The "Secret Order of Multple Personality Disorders" can ask jarkko to open a new section where you can discuss your MPD with all your screen names... (Though I doubt, the site admin would grant your request. I wouldn't in his place.)

My Dear Tom,
What a good suggestion! A section specifically devoted to MPD.
I will start on a list of Crtic2's multiple personalities right now!

P.S. Don't be taken in by Critic2's lacy black negligee.

Anne-Marie is Critic2.
What's your beef, kid? I would not say it is Lizzy who has a "dense head," and is "obtuse," but
you are for stating things so confidently without any proof. How can you make such judgements leaving no explanations?
Anne-Marie, your question "what's your beef, kid?" would make a fine poetry comp. subject. Don't even bother to think about ydf, he is a saddo who stumbled across a fun conceit of being the group psycho but he can't carry it off for the technical reasons that he can neither write nor be witty.
So now he's a one-trick pony which is running lame and whimpering for attention. But he is a repeat offender when it comes to making silly accusations on identity and his form tells me that he is far too gutless to apologise to you even when he knows he is wrong.
Respond to him however you wish but the proper posters here have decided to ignore the baby trolls as best we are able. They don't post poetry or crits. so they are trespassers in this forum anyway.

My dear Patient Critic2/Anne-Marie/etc.etc.etc.
Your problem is that your personas are all alike. No matter how you try to disquise them with avatars, genders and nationalities, they all have the same flat personality. Your attempts to spice some of them up are pathetically transparent. You show a real lack of imagination. Perhaps its the lawyer in you. But you are unable to create a real universe.
It is sad to see you answer yourself. Even sadder to see you Troll yourself.
I can help you. Admit your problem. Come clean.

I give up.
I come here because I am a Leonard fan. I still don't understand what makes me a "troll" or whatever you would like to call me.
And I don't have time to be making up fake user names to respond to my own poetry, besides - that person joined the forum before I did.

My Dear Anne-Marie/Critic2,
First let me respond to your edited post.
I come here because I am a Leonard fan. I still don't understand what makes me a "troll" or whatever you would like to call me.
Your role is not that of troll. Others personas do that for Critic2 when the genuine members are not paying enough attention to him. Your role is that of "Babe".
And I don't have time to be making up fake user names to respond to my own poetry, besides - that person joined the forum before I did.
My dear, you can't be serious. "That person" has joined the forum about 50 times.
Now for your latest post.
Sorry if you don't like my personality, but I really don't understand this mess.
On the contrary, I think your personality is very sweet if a little flat. But I think you understand this "mess" very well.
