hello, I have never posted a poem here before and I am a bit nervous. obviously this is based on Leonard Cohen's work! It is called Lemon Disaster for reasons that will soon beclome oblivous!


I had a lemon disaster
a cake
with main ingredient Lemon
I run out of them
so I run out of house
to go
to Lemon Shop
but they are closed
so I went back home
and made baked beans on toast
fuck the Lemon
hate the taste anyway!

I imagine that would really help with the smell.

drats - lemon cake can be so good and fish with lemon is good too

beans on toast? that could be good. what kind of beans?

i was just thinking of making a cuban black bean soup..

with soaked peppers, chorizo sausauge and tortillas and avocado... but i can't find anthing to rhyme with avocado... maybe tormado kind of. hang in thereCate

I used lemon beans

maybe we should talk of love,
of shining stars and skies above

maybe strike the perfect chord
that joins us all against discord

I never let my children fight
I try to teach them what is right

Of course they are older now and set in their ways
stll, quite sweet and kind to the world

what more could one ask or one's offspring? i wish i could get my daughter to quit making boxed desserts. no one is going to eat them.

they always ask if there is more they can do.. an unfortunately there is.

an endless list of laundry, cleaning, straightening up. Iam very pleased to introduce them to L. Cohen and some of my 70s favorites (Joan Armatrading?)

I am falling over the place and hitting the ground hard... when i hit i cannot get back up.. just totally paralyzed. i wonder if i should go to myjob today. the walk, the 17 steps ups to the top of the choir loft is pretty challenging. i could have my son push me up.. or just not go.

they are Catholic but very comfortable not being Catholic and who they are.
