Dear friends
I thought I would send this little blessing to Leonard & The UHTC as they enter Irish airspace sometime today or tomorrow. AND for us fans as we brave the unsettled elements.

"May the sun shine soft on your lovely bones,
May Eireann's air breathe warm on your deep dulcet tones.
May you and your ministers of music weave a golden blanket of song
that cloaks us 'gainst autumn chills the night long.

BUT if it MUST rain or mist (as is wont)
Receive it as a benediction and not as a curse.
Don't worry 'bout us 'cause rain's what we we're used to,
WE'RE IRISH - we'll still sing 'n chant 'Hallelujah'!

(P.S. Notwithstanding the 'soft irish rain' of mythic lore, I'm bringing a supply of black plastic binliners (Unused ) So if anyone is stuck for some rain-proofing, give me a shout, I'll be the one in the black plastic outfit )

the road will rise to meet us en route to Kilmainham
the breeze will always be at our backs ( so the mist wont obscure our view)
the vision will be of that poet with music in his heart

weaving invisible threads connecting all hearts and souls..
into a harmony of 'spiritful ' unison of human energy love and hope

LOVE your Irish blessing, Franjel. I'd expected it to be an old, established one, but as I read, I was amazed that it should fit so well, and began to wonder. Finally confirmed and now I know what a lovely and beautiful blessing YOU wrote. Well done !

And what a miracle. It didn't rain during the concerts, well at least the ones I was at on Tues, Wed & Sat.
