we were given 10 minutes to write a piece about Cosmic Communication. I didn't really know what that meant, but I found the exercise interesting as I had no idea until then that I was in a sentimental and maudlin mood. Every other exercise I did that evening produced words from the same emotional place.

"Michael, how are you? 12 years since I saw you"

"I know, Mum
are you still with Dad?"

"Michael, Dad sends a message
he says "Michael, how are you?""

"I think of your last weeks, Mum"

"Son, does that outweigh 80 years?
Michael, how are you?"

"Mum, do you watch me every day and
Mum, are you proud?"

"Our youngest, our favourite,
nothing changes,
but Michael, how are you?"

"Mum and Dad,
can you measure my longing
do you share my successes?
are you sad for my losses?"

"Michael, how are you?"

"It won't be another 12 years, Mum
I must see you and Dad again"

"Stay longer, our brightest Child
see the things we never saw
and hold the precious we never touched
and Michael
Michael, how are you?"

Cosmic communication is a matter of Time, Space and Mind (and a wonderful idea)!

Time cannot heal or ease pain
It cannot change the past
Its only relevance is now; then it’s gone.
Time is something you can never get back;
Only wish you could!
Time is precious (very)!
Time is something we all have
But very few of us know how to use!!
Time doesn’t give you answers
It only poses questions.

yes, there was a danger of having too long and therefore over-preparing. I'm ok but disappointed that they cancelled summer this year.
