That's what I have so far. I was trying to work in something about Manna. Obviously I will acknowledge anyone who posts further lines towards finishing this piece. I certainly won't ignore the attention and efforts of others.

The circular eye of the quailfish blinks
a strobe beneath the water's surface
pleading, "Notice me, notice me, I'm clever!"

The stream bounces like a Las Vegas toddler
happy, wavy and sparkly.

The fish - a sticky toy in a toddler's hand
dragged along because it's MINE.
The eye of the quailfish issues a tear,
but who can tell if a fish can cry
when tears are so easily dissolved?
