Going Home- Leonard Cohen cover

Hey all,
I had posted this on a different thread but I just saw that there is a forum for actual covers of songs... I would love to hear people's take on my cover of Cohen's great "Going Home". I recorded it with my iPhone last week and I think sound-wise it came out pretty decent. My voice is not naturally as low as I am singing here, but I try to reach Leonard's level. I am 23 so my voice hasn't had time to mature and get deep and raspy like Leonard's.

Would love to hear what everyone thinks..

Well, I tried to leave this comment there, but couldn't without signing up, which I didn't really want to do. So, here it is:

Enjoyed this; only wish the piano was less prominent, as I have to try to listen past it to really hear your voice. Might you try rerecording it so that your voice is in the foreground and the music is more in the background? Is that you playing the piano? Overall, well done, Jacob.

Thanks for the feedback!

Lizzy- Good suggestion. The piano was indeed too loud plus I am a bit insecure about my voice so it helped cover it up a bit. I equalized the track again and made the vocals a bit louder and piano softer. The bass is a bit too high now but oh well... And yes, that is me on piano but I am not very good at it. Guitar is my main instrument.

Here is the re-equalized version: http://www.muziboo.com/jimijac37/music/going-home-vocs/

Here is a video of my actual voice range... as you can see it is about an octave higher than what I was doing with Going Home.
