I love the portrait with the sun on your face, eyes shielded, hatted up, and a serious earring in your ear.
Something Irving Laytonish about you here, though I can't quite identify what it is.
As I said on your link, your song was hard.

was that your kitty tip tapping at the end?
Sometimes G. music hits just the right spot. Today - a sunny clear day, I traipsed through the march with the ashes of my most loved uncle. It was a long day but this song and your 'don't ever take yourself away' feels like a good way to end it (the day).
The earrings are a bit of a surprise to me - did you intentionally put holes in your body?
now I'm wondering about hidden tattoo's

Are those two, full, double loops... or two 'loops' that round into being together at the bottom and circle back the other direction?

yes, i seem now to have exorcised it, though. couldn't bear to hear it, because of the associations, but now it's ok. it was very nice of you to comment, lizzie. i don't always remember to say so, but i am always glad to see your signature at the end of a message

yes, it was suki walking past at the end, even though she is not seen. i regret to hear about your uncle, cate. you write so little about the "long day", but i do know what they can be like. about that song 'don't ever take yourself away': i can't understand why nobody else has ever covered it. the earrings do not require holes punched into one's lobes. they are solid silver, but there is a sliding part with a spring inside that gently pushes a small bolt against the skin. I used to use them a long time ago when studying at lillehammer humanistisk akademi. recently found them in a drawer when looking for a rubber band to put around some pick-up sticks. i will take a picture of them and try to show you. lizzie, too, was enquiring about them. by the way, i am enjoying following your 'message in a bottle' thread! x

Really liked this...glad you posted it.
Wouldn't mind a bit of that sunshine you're having there. it's not very nice here at the moment. We seem to be having the wettest drought in history!!!

I can't understand why nobody else has covered it either. There is a different sound to it the way that you sing it, slowed down so that you actually feel the words.
The earrings have an industrial look to them. I like the spring - that's a good idea. Earrings that I had before either screwed tight or were more a hinge that clipped on.

it's cool because it looks like such a nice warm day and in the background you see that beautiful snow covered mountain.

and they look ancient to me... like some Greek or Roman body decoration.
i like them very much... a 'statement piece.'
cate's right... you seem to get so much out of a song when you slow them down with focus.
