remastering/re-cordin previous records

Am i the only one who notices a big quality difference between "Old Ideas" and previous recordings? It seems that an artist finally migrated from garage records to proper studio 
Of course, the old ones are classics, but re-recording them in proper studio would make quite a few fans happy. Even those, listening iPods/iPhones/iPads, would probably notice a difference.
