Hibernation

Hibernation

I want to pour milk over you and have you
with my cornflakes. Raw sugar served
in Moroccan tea, a bit of mint. Blankets tossed
across the living room floor, cushions
leaning against the couch frame.

We, two sprawling bodies flicking
through Scooby-doo re-runs . Our legs
lying over each other. A hand lazily
drawing circles over warm skin.
Eyes heavy, breaths deep
snow drifting past the window.

Keep the door locked my love,
why should we ever leave again?

(revision note ... moving away from the cartoons leads a direction I don't want to go - I'll leave for now)

The only reason I could see would be to go mess about in boats.

Let the details tell the story and yours do and so evocatively.
Very appealing scene heavy with love and desire.

I had no idea that Doris Day had such a sultry voice!

Thank you Lizzy ... I popped it up a bit to quick. I'm just going to see if I can tidy it up a bit - perhaps replace scoobie.

For you, Cate.

If the link works properly, this should be Kate Bush singing on her new album 50 Names for Snow... Snowed in at Wheeler Street.

The album itself... wow.
