Hibernation
I want to pour milk over you and have you
with my cornflakes. Raw sugar served
in Moroccan tea, a bit of mint. Blankets tossed
across the living room floor, cushions
leaning against the couch frame.
We, two sprawling bodies flicking
through Scooby-doo re-runs . Our legs
lying over each other. A hand lazily
drawing circles over warm skin.
Eyes heavy, breaths deep
snow drifting past the window.
Keep the door locked my love,
why should we ever leave again?
(revision note ... moving away from the cartoons leads a direction I don't want to go - I'll leave for now)
