Advice rings out
Let go
Let go
Let go of everything.
We need
Something
Something solid
Something to hold
To keep us grounded
living in this world.
Letting go
Leaves us
Searching
Searching for something
Something in the Nothing
Something
The Word remembers well.

Anything we let go of has claw marks in it.

I watched a leaf on a blackthorn bush
After a storm of wind and rain
Hanging on by a cobweb
When the time is right !!

Hi lonndubh,
Thanks for posting the poem. That people need something solid is true. The song
"Night Comes On" has these words: "I needed so much to have nothing to touch." Yet, there's
the tendency of people to seek solidity (even among those who hold that nothing is really solid).
In "There For You" there's the lyric: "making objects out of thoughts."

The poet, William Carlos
Williams wrote: "No ideas but in things." No things, no grounding. Things, the Word included,
serve to remind and ground. -- Yes.
