It is one of lifes great joys to encounter music that is new to you and instanly fall in love with it. This happened last night. There is an annual series of live music in Cardiff, Wales, under the showcase "Roots Unearthed" and this years kicked off last night with Texan singer/songwriter Slaid Cleaves. I went along without having heard anything by him because these shows are always good, and some are great. This one was great.
He played the set unplugged, fantastic songs, the history of American music in his performance. If there are others out there who are not familiar with his work, I recommend that you check him out.

Thanks, Rob. I'll check it out. I wish Kush would do that with Country's Mario Lanza [hint].
Well, so much for that! They won't play via my computer at work on Windows Media Player ~ something about "an unknown error" and I can't risk pursuing it further on this computer

. Drat!

Hope it works for you back home Lizzy, it's playing right now on my computer, I did buy three of his cd's last night, so plenty of his stuff to keep me going. At work I cannot play music at all, the county IT police have blocks on all kinds of things, including music. Sometimes I feel that they think we are entertaining ourselves instead of getting on with the job.

Yes, our IT may be soon to follow yours with the blocks, but so far, not. Or, maybe? At least in some regard? I can play some links, but not others. Home is out of the question right now, due to lack of working speakers or the system that enables them.

Tee-Hee......guess with my being out so long, it put me out? I came back in as a Guest? Hmmm......anyway, it came to my attention when I was going to Edit to make it be ITs instead of just IT. I guess this will be as a Guest, too, but both are Lizzy.
