The Mouse

As he sits exhausted on the terrace
Until the evening snake creeps into his pyjamas
The tiny mouse wishes the garden would instead
Rise and go into the
Hallucinations already in their horrible sheets and dancing-shoes
A mouse is a kind of dwarfish rat
And no ghost takes flight
If Robin Gibb with tail
With a squeaky voice screams: away!
