Hello, everyone
I was wondering if anybody would be kind enough to burn me this DVD. I can send blank cds for it, and I'd be more then happy to pay the postage. If anybody can do me this favor please email me at

Hmmm...
OK, go to the first page of the site and look at the index. There is a line that is called Marketplace, Ads or Collectibles, something like that. Click a few of those - there's often people looking for things or selling/trading stuff.

Except that those people who are selling it actually sell the copies of compilations and DVDs made by us here for free circualtion between fans.

Says who? Who is doing that then apart from Diamondsinthemine?

Scooby - don't go taking my name in vain on a separate post where the background thread isn't available (and you obviously still haven't read). It's discourteous. You are also missing Tom's point and the reason why I've started my experiment - which is because a number of us have helped other collectors who have gone on to sell. We're debating the morals of it elsewhere but your oversimplification (and lack of positive suggestions) isn't helpful.

I'm fucking saying
I am not only saying that MY copy of Hannover 1979 soundboard is on sale (
it is) (
I got the cassette tape from Jim Devlin,
Artur in Poland made the CDs,
we traded it further!) but
EVERYTHING there is made by fans.
There's no legal Cohen materials. Reykjavik 1988 video tape is taken from our Iceland friend/traders,
Austin 1998 video tape is recorded from TV and copies are circulating free on tape/DVDR/VCD, but some people are selling it on eBay. There are also Paris 1976, BBC 1968 Sessions etc shows.
It doesn't mean that DVD/CDR must be made by diamondsinthemine or whatever else and then sold, but everything is taken from circulating material (whether the seller made DVD alone or stoled some other's DVD isn't important). Those people are making money of it, they're not doing this to help the fans.
I must say that there are now most of Leonard's hard-to-find video materials on sale, all offered by you, diamondsinthemine..... Only those two DVDs I listen above were previously available.

I guess it means more material is now available to the wider audience who have not found their way to this site.
On the negative side, I guess that no one can take the moral high ground any more. In my book they are as bad as one another

P.S. No more swearing please

What is available for circulation between fans? I've not seen
any DVD stuff at all (other than Ladies and Gentlemen...which I have) and would LOVE to get some.
I have a few concerts on CD that you probably have but have other stuff to trade, such as Nick Cave, etc.

My DVD burner is out of order for couple of months now, and I already owe some DVDs all over the world
There are San Sebastian 1988, Austin City Limits 1988, Reykjavik 1988, and Spring 96+All Video Clips 1984-2001 (that one is mine) circulating, transferred by fans. There are some more DVDs, but there are made by our webmaster for his own purposes and I hope they will not appear on eBay (as he gave copies to some friends...) Like Rasky's movie... Then there are diamondsinthemine's DVDs also.

Does anybody have DVDs of 60s or 70s concerts?

There are no such, except Tony Palmer's 1974 movie Bird on a Wire (about 1972 tour). I don't mean there's no recording, but we don't know if there were any at all, except for Stockholm 1972 and BBC 1968, both circualting as sound recordings, but the original TV tapes are apparently lost (BBC's even wiped out).

Actually one 1967 fragment exists: Stranger song from
"Once more with Felix", aired for the first time in 1967;
a clip that has been re-used frequently ever since!
