Seize The Emotion

Hoping in rich divinity
Love sweet earthly tones befall
Maybe its my dream
That brings me down these days
Or maybe its my light
That dims at your pale face
I do not know

I watched a candle burn
Around a metal base
All because of yesterdays parties
Does feeling cease to exist
Give me numbness
Give me life
I want to die in your arms (Saturday night)

The only trouble is I hope
I dwell on sunrises
Sift through makeup drawers
Cannot find the perfect mask to wear
Treading on my own water
I walk on it
I do all because of you

And babe when the world fails
Heroic deeds cannot be found
Truth is the utter decadent state avoided
Go back to your roots
Find the reasons why
Interlude out of time
Forget their London (seek your own)

Hoping and waiting and dreaming
So what
The ineptitude of this condition
Seizes the sexual appetite
Reunites spirit to self
Salvation was found
Salvation will be here again

There are times when nightmares come true
There are seasons when all seems wrong
There is a place for every figure
There is a time for every emotion
There is a heart still beating
There is not just one way to seek
Compassion is always at root (find them)

Mistakes are made to be done for
Regret is an unknown word
Love never dies
Its only forgotten under present tense
Where the heart beats now
For the gripes of a sex
To the scores of people in wait

Your hand will shake
Your body will cringe
Your tide will move
Your blood will rush
Your pillar will rise
Your sea will open
The plateau awakened

Your time will come
As another fake TV orgasm appears
Run to the seize of love
Let the bottle open up and take you
Love is natural between anyone
Let it flow like Irish spring water
And be calm as the breeze

There is no hope in hoping
For love will never arrive
Door must be opened
Take a step
Take a chance
Purge your sins
In the undertaking of love

For you will find
Yes
You will find
There is more to life
Than love
Just maybe you will find
You will find
There is nothing as great as love

The changes in tempo caught my attention.
I read it once and I read it once again and the whole thing flowed.

'For you will find
yes
you will find'

I particularly liked that in the last verse.

then you said
'just maybe you will find
you will find'

and for me that made it complete, with a hint of uncertainty.
Thankyou for the poem

Dear Poeticasylum,
Without going through your poem, a verse at a time, your poem speaks to me personally, in a number of ways. I really appreciate all the aspects of this dilemma that you address with truth, honesty, and confrontation of self. That's all I'm going to say, other than the whole of your final verse being absolute truth as well. I might do well to spend some time immersing myself in your verses :). Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
