Yes, me - saw them live in Bonn in 2002 - loved it - must see them again - the Greek have Rembetika - the Austrians their waltzes - the Germans their jodelling - the Portugese have Fado - the Brits have Robbie Williams - and the Finnish have Tango plus Jarkko

Ah, Madredeus, Misia... Duende... Leonard Cohen.. it's the same mood, actually, I read Misia's interview in which she explained Saudade so great, like LC or Nick Cave or Garcia Lorca. She said it's not depression od simple sadness, but "unexplicable sense of loss".
I presume you did see Wim Wenders' movie "Lisbon Story"?
