A Brief History Of Trimes

Swim fella swim
The Prize is Life
A million to one chance
Grab it with both promised hands
Head-butt your way in
Silently screaming; “I'm ho-o-m-e.”

Now the work begins
As you become a split personality
Doubling, quadrupling, exponentially
God, it's warm in here
No time to rest
Get stuck in and follow the schematics
You can't see, yet, but “Hey,”
Who needs eyes when you've got a neat set of genes.

And so it goes,
Day after day,
Uncontrolled, uncontrollable
Unaware of self-motivation
Uneducated, undaunted
Unsurpassable

That's odd
I could have sworn it was bigger in here
Oh well, I'll shuffle around a bit
What the hell was that?
Vibrations around and in me
Gentle, thunderous, smoothing.

I didn't do it,
What did it?
Who did it?
How did it?
I'm swimming, therefore I am
There must be a God.

I'm not alone
He vibrates me
But wait, again
Now I hear him
He's aware of me
Does He love me?

He smooths me with gentle vibrations
There's two of Him
Overlaying vibrations
One low, one higher
I'll sleep
I'll sleep

What's happening?
I'm squashed
I can't stop it
My head hurts
My head?
Where did that come from?

I don't want to go
I can't stay here
I'm warm
I'm struggling
I want to stay
I have to go

“Agh,” That light
That noise
My lungs hurt
Where did they come from?
It's not warm any more
It's not smooth any more

And is This, my Prize?

And is This, my Prize?
Well, it's a good start, Byron.

I love this little bit.
I'm swimming, therefore I am
There must be a God.
Maybe you are a fish, or a whale?
Perhaps you could walk in/on this water?
That little sperm/human may be thinking too small. :?

I sink, therefore I am not
never was
and maybe never will be.

(...so what does that make-not me?)
"...swim fella, swim!"
or at least dog-paddle...
;-)
