I went to download Leonard Cohen music on Limewire and I got a song performed by Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue called "Where The Wild Roses Grow." Did Leonard write that song?

They called me the wild rose
But my name was Eliza Day
Why they call me it I do not know
For my name was Eliza Day

Are any of you familiar with that song? I really liked it.

it was not writen by Cohen. nice song though. it's a sort of a big black joke. sounds a lot like E A Poe or some other romantics.

In fact Roses it's a english traditionnal took by Cave and modernized. It's one of the great song for sure....but I don't know it can be a big joke. It is a very intense song. Samething for every song of the marvellous Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have a release here in the UK at the moment and it`s gorgeous derrr can`t remember the title sorry.
