stride through New Yearness
head up and pinned down
Greetings for line tramps
stabbed up in delight
hold hands
in gunspray
deadness the futurtum
mufti colored regrets

Michael, please leave some of the golden nectar for the rest of the alcoholically challenged.

.. well, as this is the last of the New Year's weekend, and then back to the city for me.. I thought I'd check out your New Year's poem. Now, I know I've been a bit hard on you on other threads.. so.. maybe I could try to be a bit gentler, maybe..
scrolled through monthly periods
.. hmm.. (actually, what was I thinking?).. now, I don't know about you, fish, but I'd say a monthly period isn't something one normally "scrolls through".. I mean, sometimes it's rather grizzly business, in fact.. I mean, it ain't no "scroll through the park," if that's what you think.. (this does make me question your gender of origin, ficklefish)..
redfaced and elsewhereness
.. this is a bit more like it.. though the redfaced part isn't anything I'm aware of.. unless you're drinking again.. (probably).. you need to ease up a bit between johns.. maybe take in a sauna now 'n then.. chill out, in other words..
anatomicable and legwards
.. yes, I think a picture is beginning to form here..
stride through New Yearness
head up and pinned down
.. okay, so you like getting it while pinned to the wall. (That was worth the wait, actually.)
Greetings for line tramps
stabbed up in delight
.. as to the company you keep, that's not delight.. no, I'm afraid they're just a bit antsy when they're on their way to the methadone clinic.. (you need to pay closer attention, fish).
hold hands
in gunspray
.. you know, instead of fantasizing about your favorite johns, you might just try going out for a cup of coffee with the guy at the corner Deli or something. Just something "normal," in other words. It could surprise you.
deadness the futurtum
.. taking a stab at Latin is commendable, and yet deplorable when one misses. But your “futurtum” is just splendid.
mufti colored regrets
I think we should keep politics out of it. You’re in enough trouble as it is, as far as I can tell. Keep things simple, if you can, fish. You’ll thank me later.
rainbow disillusionlamp
genie or genius
.. wishing on a genie lamp is not going to get you out of the hot water you seem to be in. Actually, I believe I told you on some other thread that the rainbow wasn’t enough. Why are we having to revisit it here then? Of course, "genius" is how it is you mistook this prestigious forum for a john hook-up. (Not sure how you managed that one.)
who can declartum?
.. that was Ta-tum. O’Neal. Paper Moon, I think. And yes, she was a fast operator too, as I recall.. you might like that flick, now that I think about it.. In fact, you sort of remind me of Trixy Delight.. (played by Madeline Kahn).. (if you wore clothes, I mean)..

FULL SCREEN..
OKAY, QUICK REVIEW:
.. just try and keep your signals straight, fish, and you might just make it to Poetry 101 with a Latin Flair, taught by Prof. Casteroil, I.F. You. Know. What’s. Good. For. You. [Ph.D.].. But you need to get a grip, fish. I can’t be holding your hand through gunfire forever. You’ve got to take a few beginner’s steps all on your lonesome. Now, I’m here to advise. But please, stop with the pills, and maybe take in a show now and then (oh, and a shower).. (oh, and a show that doesn’t involve strippers, I mean).
.. okay, best of luck, fish, in 2011. What's really amazing is that it precedes the year 2012.. (just thought I'd give you something deep to contemplate, which could possibly go toward your next poem. We're all waiting, fish).
later edit.. okay, I can't believe I'm here when I should be trying to sleep. It's been a long day at the forum for me (I hope I can forgive myself in the morning). Oh, I spelled O'Neal wrong. (geesh: the Irish)

.. I can't understand it.. here fisheye and I are trying to do the hard work appointed to this section of the forum -- that concerning both poetry and its critique -- and it's only the nonsense from the peanut gallery that gets recognized. I just can't understand it.

.. untwist your shorts, Byron.. no one said you were.. have a nice cup of tea, in fact..
.. I'm up at the crack of dawn, needing to get down into the city.. once there, I turn into a magic faerie, and may find work with the phone company.. so all is well in the kingdom of nod.
love,
v i o l e t xx

I am now sitting at my sofa, with my laptop on my lap, waiting for my mug of tea to cool enough to only slightly burn the inside of my mouth. I have managed to remove the rather dainty foot which I shoved into me gob earlier, in order to take my tiffin. I would prefer to have my favourite brew, being Earl Grey, but we only have 3 teabags remaining and a domestic third world war shall break out if I go anywhere near the EarlGrey tea caddy. (actually it's a box)
The boss is upstairs ironing whilst listening to Master Thomas Waites on her music playing machine.
After some deep discussion with the boss, we have come to the view that quailthingie is not michael.....but is geoffrey. The two of them circle around threads in the forum, like mystical creatures who can change their shape and form at will. Us mere mortals can only watch, learn, and refudiate any semblance of unmystical powers.
Time now to slurp.......

Have you ladies noticed there are 2 fishythingies?
An impersonator joined later using the same avatar but having 2 "i"'s at the end of his name.

.. yes, I did notice this.. and took it as just another symptom of gender confusion. I have no idea how I arrived at this conclusion, however, and am finding that the less I analyze the better it is for Freu-- for my.. actually, I have a headache.

Margaret - what keen eyes you have!!!! that might explain the 'bird on the wire' theme of one of them.
Byron I loved your description of your morning brew and the mystical shape-shifters who entertain us with their dance - you're a very wise man to leave the Earl Grey!

.. actually.. I just wanted to point out that there are actually three fishie things. What's bothering me now, though, is that I was assuming that it was the original fishie thing just changing the spelling to try to mess-- well, with me in particular, since I seem to have taken on this hocus opus as my own, oh, dopus. So, I just assumed it was the original doing that. Now I'm not so sure. On the other hand, Freud is always right, and that I'm usually sure about.
So.
.. (I thought I'd add though.. to anyone noticing.. that I've had a rough weekend sleep wise, and I no longer know what I'm doing or saying). (I am also pretty sure I have no reason to live)

Auntie Vi writted......
"On the other hand, Freud is always right, and that I'm usually sure about."
On the other hand
I have four fingers and a fumm.
Dearest Cate, how kind, how kind. Oft have I wandered lonely as a shroud that floats on high o'er valleys and lumpy bits. I feel that I can offer some solace to the poor deshevilled masses what struggle through their mundane existence sans Earl Grey. As for quailfishiething, I cannot start my day without kedjeriee and tomato ketchup. Real fish to boost the protein intake prior to reading the newspaper. But, Kwills is the officianado when it comes to fish. Believe me, what kwills doesn't know about fish isn't worth knowing.
