Leonard Cohen On Croatian Top 40 Album Chart

After Leonard Cohen's July 25th performance at the Arena Zagreb in Croatia an incredible sixteen of Mr. Cohen's albums appear this week in the Croatian Top 40 album chart (Hrvatska Top Lista).

As on September 1st, Live in London at #5, and Songs of Leonard Cohen at #40.

In March 2010, Leonard had Live in London, The Essential Leonard Cohen, The Essential Leonard Cohen 3.0, Live at Isle of Wight, Dear Heather and Ten New Songs in Top 40, in various weeks at various positions.

I have to add that as it seems that each week since the beginning of 2010 Leonard has another album in Top 40 (or two) this is not the sale in shops, but the official chart of sales according to number of CDs sold by distributors. I don't know, one week LC had Isle of Wight on #20, then The Essential next week in Top ten, then Live in London always returning to top 20 every second week etc. But i0s the official Top of the Shops list issued every Wednesday by Croatian Union of Discography.

It keeps going up and down as Croatian list is counted by shipping from the distributers' stores, not by the actual sale in shops. Thus, only Essential in Top 40 this week, but last week, Old Ideas was at #16: http://www.hdu-toplista.com/index.php?w ... ls&id=1201

Old Ideas is in Top 40 since January 201, more or less.

Three weeks ago, Live in London was at #27: http://www.hdu-toplista.com/index.php?w ... ls&id=1195

That means that those three albums, as Leonard's canonical bestsellers, are shipped in regular periods of once in a month to the shops, and sold within a month in numbers which are enough for the top 30 or even top 20::))
