Concert Ghent 22/08/10

We bought two of te last tickets left for this concert and I was very happy we got in.
I love his voice, the songs, the backing vocals, the saxofone and guitarplayers.
I also liked the overall volume of the concert.
What I was missing were the drums! Where were the drums? It it could equally well have been a well-programmed drummachine.
It's is probably a very good drummer but when the second set started, he played 'Tower of Song' accompanied by his backing vocals and a well programmed drummachine.
I thought: 'This doesn't make a difference!'
The bassplayer had a nice sound, but he could have been a little more present.
Also in the mix of the sound engineer there was a big emphasis on the voices. Of course the voices are important in this music, but it felt out of balance to me.
