Krakow Mosaic

Krakow Mosaic

The holy ark with just
Enough room for all of us
And the pearly rays of music
Assembling and disassembling

The clutter of hoofs, your ancestors' songs,
The market smells
Synagogues and churches
In one place where the doves
Don't have to decide

Ramifications of one spirit, here is
No need to explain your symbology
The hummingbird stopping at
Each blossom, no matter its colour
Recognizing how our histories are
Interwoven even if our lips are tied

Talent lighting up like candles, one by one
The Wawel serenely overlooking
New friendships emerging

And then the midnight serenade
Touching your night rose's thorns

(Thank you to all Krakow Event organizers and participants for a wonderful time!)

Dear Heike ~

I hope you will post your very lovely and evocative poem on the Krakow thread, as well. A beautiful tribute to an Event well done!

It was so good to meet you in Cracow. I hope we will find more 'real' time another time to spend together.
