August 5, 2010 – Old Saybrook, CT: "Everybody Knows": It’s the longest-running (and only) tribute to Leonard Cohen in New England and now, for the fourth year in a row, The Small Town Concert Series (STCS) presents their Fourth Leonard Cohen tribute; it's also their first at New England’s prestigious cultural arts emporium, The Kate. Led by Grammy-nominated Lauren Agnelli, the STCS Big House Band is bolder and better than ever, with new drummer, Jon Joslow, and violinist Dana Takaki. Back by popular demand are performances by Rodney Maxwell, Rose and Brian of Ebin-Rose, and Chris Listorti in addition to Lauren’s Leonard Cohen numbers. Vocalist Rachael Aikens, of Chester, is also newly featured on several songs; after her previous appearance in the STCS production of “Shoreline Women Diggin’ Dylan,” she is sure to be one of the biggest hits of the night.
Small Town Concert Series knows how dedicated Cohen’s fans are: “Because, for us, they are the easiest show to sell. Tickets have been sold to fans from as far away as California, with others sold to folks from RI, NY, MA and NJ.” A great time is always had by all, and so, buy your tickets early and get ready for another excellent tribute to the master songwriter and author of “Hallelujah,” “Suzanne,” “Everybody Knows” and “I’m Your Man”: Leonard Cohen.
