What non-romance language is the easiest to learn? I have taken tseveral years of Spanish and plan on sutdying it more in college, but I also want to study a non-romance language too. I was wondering what non-romance languest is the most interesting or fun to learn. Any suggestions?

Wel, there's English. ; ) As for otherGermanicin the Indo-European family, the Germanic languages include German, Dutch, Flemish, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic, and Frisian; the Slavic languages include Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, Czech, Slovak, Serbo-Croat, and Bulgarian; the Celtic languages inlcude Welsh, Breton, Cornish, Scots Gaelic, Irish Gaelic,(Now there would be a challange and perhaps fun )and Manx. Latvian and Lithuanian are in the Baltic group of the IE family, and Greek and Albanian are in separate IE groups of their own. Non-Indo-European languages spoken in Europe include Finnish, Estonian (fairly closely related), Hungarian (more distantly related), and Basque (related to nothing else). And so far, that's just the world's smallest continent, and I've left out a few!
