The Shroud of Turin

Look at the anguish of the face of death's giving
that was impressed into the white funeral shroud linen's living
wrapped around the blooded corpse in the garden's tomb
encapsulated with the virgin hymen stone of the womb
and sometime around the magical mist's of the dawn
his feet did once again, walk on the green lawn
and he appeared to the religious and the devout
oh, how they did rejoice and did shout
and while the huge stone was being rolled away
the disiciples did wander around and did pray
if he has arisen from death
and i witnessed his gasping of his last breath
then surely, he is the son of the Lord
it's for me to write it, it's for me to record
and he rose to a strange star in the sky
without even saying to all, a proper goodbye
but in my heart, he still lives
turn the other cheek and forgive
and all that remained in the vacant tomb, was the impregnated linen
hope has not departed and faith needs forgiven
this was the last garment, that he lay in
and remains to this day, shrouded in Turin
