My love for you is like
dehydrated, reconstituted powdered
skim milk - thin and runny
with the occasional lump,
. . . but I think
you might be good for my bones.

(ever find that you don't know something isn't true until you've said it out loud. the above's not true - he's at least kinda fresh 2% - but I'm going to leave it.
I'm just resentful that he seems completely okay with our 7 year old being at over night camp - happy even, while I'm lets just say, not quite there. If I hear 'it's good for them' one more time there could be a domestic violence incident on our street whether what he's saying is true or not)

bones need the calcium provided by milk
so if the love you give is like milk
your bones will only suffer

 I can't imagine why? Here's your bottle by the way - only whole milk for you and organic of course. I mixed a little kahlua in to help you sleep.

oh oh I don't want weak bones - but I'm mom so I have a bit of a milk thing.
Have you heard of the rule of 3 G? What you give out will come back to you 3 fold so maybe milk is okay as long as it doesn't spoil.

Thank you Alisony :) - in the morning I thought it was a bit mean but I decided to leave it up. I think I will add powdered skim milk onto my list of things not to compare love or people to.

Hi Violet and thank you - yes 2% is something to work with, much better then that powdered stuff - yuck.

Ah Cate –

You chose the powdered stuff because it has much longer shelf life than the fresh stuff, didn't you? Yeah, I thought so.

I liked your poem too.
