Alisony –
That poor statue, implacable in the shade. We could start a petition to get him moved into the sunlight...
I enjoyed your poem, I like the idea that inanimate/dormant objects could come to life if you could only figure out the right approach. And that an object touches your human emotion and imagination so much that you imbue
it with human emotions. Kinda like the tin man that longed for a heart, or the scarecrow that... wait – no! That's on that
other thread..

Alsiony,
Don't they say that 'good things come to those that wait'?
I enjoy your poetry.

Thankyou kindly I.F. and Boss
At times I like to try and write from the viewpoint of a man, although the top layer / main theme of this poem - of course, you could say that a woman could be the one waiting to be invited out by that special person, but in this instance I am writing about a man. We are all human afterall. I hope the poem works ok...
Yes I.F. - it is probably obvious to some by now that with some of my poetry, I like to write in a way that you have described...
And that an object touches your human emotion and imagination so much that you imbue it with human emotions. I feel very touched by a great many things, or is that just 'touched' in general? Well - I don't
think that I am crazy haha
Boss - I take that as a wonderful compliment coming from you, bearing in mind the amazing things that you pen - thankyou
