A Poem for George, the Poet

Ciao George!
I, Vesuvius have written a poem! You have inspired me!
A Poem for George, The Poet
I encourage the Poets,
For that is my vow,
I praise them all,
To all I say ciao!
To all I do listen,
With wide eyes aglaze,
But George is the one,
I hear in a daze.
Apes and Angel glands,
Love, Death and Sin,
I don't know how,
He fits them all in.
His brain runs riot,
And his poems do too!
But I wouldn't change that,
Nor should you.
I encourage the Poets,
For that is my vow,
With over 100 poems,
George, please take a bow!

Ciao, Vesuvius

!
A
most lovely gesture on your part

, and one that underscores your appreciation of George's ongoing commitment to his writing, which has improved as well

. I
also like the way his mind is brimming with ideas and images, which I would be powerless to express in his fashion. You
also did well with your conciseness and rhyming.

"purred over with your poem"

~ as a cat lover supreme,
dang, I wish I'd thought of that thematically-correct response to the writer!

I applaud this poem and I applaud the poet to whom it is dedicated!
Praise is too often underrated..

Well Taigaku, that is praise indeed. Vesuvius must be honoured and as the so called poet in question, i must be also. Thank you.

Wow Ves!
That was marvelous! The 'birth' of a poet, what a blessed event!
Bravo!
George, you must be a very proud 'Papa'

and justifiably so...Take another bow...

Hi George & Lizzy ~
Thank you both for your lovely welcome!
You can blame Taigaku...he has subtle 'powers of persuation'
Anywho, hope you are all 'fighting fit an' givin' cheek'
Love,

Ciao Makera,
Yes, welcome back. I am glad Taigaku persuaded you. I thought Taigaku was a she not a he. So now I have to build another image in my mind.
Yes! I am a new poet. But it is harder than I thought. I am working on my second poem. It is about Leonard. I want it to be good. It is not going good. I can't think of the words. It makes me respect George more.

He He...Hey Ves....don't you know you have to 'suffer for your art'?

Hi Vesuvius ~
You could even extend that respect, in other directions, toward all the other poets here

. It doesn't come easy

, but the heart keeps driving the mind to try.
