Sarah Polley, who had so much success with Away from Her (nommed for a Screenplay Adaptation Oscar), will begin shooting a romantic comedy with Seth Rogan and Michelle Williams called Take This Waltz.

Polley wrote the script based on a Leonard Cohen song. The script recently made the Black List — the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood, etc. Cohen and Rogan are both Canadian.

The budget is between nine and ten mil.

Sarah Polley is also Canadian (I didn't know about Rogan, but I'm not a fan of his). It should be interesting (to use a non-committal word) to see how she's written a script from this wonderful song and turned it into a rom-com with Seth Rogan. I almost shudder to think...
