In All Honesty…

In all honesty all I ever wanted when I joined the Forum as a member is to have the opportunity to enjoy reading the poetry and all the creative ideas that are so well voiced and so well presented by other members here within. So many of the ideas that are presented, really work towards sparking ones own imagination.
I think for me, I am tired of a few individuals (shall I say it) silly, at times, erratic behaviour to other peoples threads.
How can one be serious in their response to a certain poem they have read of another individuals, when someone else comes and adds their nonsensical graffiti to that particular thread. I am just plain tired of it all, and so I've let my thoughts go…venting my frustration in a giddy, fun, crazy sort of way. At the best of times, I am really quite reserved.
I want to be part of this Forum, because there is a great deal within it that I do find interesting.
I am OK with having FUN, but why interfere with other member's thoughts (threads), just to get the first or even the last laugh. Because in the end the laugh is really on you.
This is just my own individual opinion and I feel better having put it out there, regardless of what a few others might think and or say. My reference to the word (you), references no-one here in the Forum, it's just used as a mere generalization.
And so, anyone have any good poetry they want to share?

name a subject and I will write you a poem (although when I say "you" that is used as a mere generalization).

It may not all be 'good' poetry carm, but people post new poems here almost daily. Have you looked through some of the back pages? You will find some fine poems from Boss, Cate, Violet, Mat, Vern, Juan.... and many others.
For me, I enjoy the different personalities here, it keeps things lively, and as Violet says, you can choose to participate or ignore, if it's not to your taste.
I love spicy food; still, I like to comfort myself with mashed potatoes on occasion... especially GARLIC mashed potatoes...

I agree, the poetry from Boss, Cate, v i o l e t, Mat, Vern, Juan, Teratogen, Yorkshire Lad, richmorgan, iveta, democracy, Cate, imaginary friend, jabble524, Alsiony, Geoffrey…just to name a few, is good poetry. And, yes I suppose one can choose to participate or ignore depending on their own taste. In the past that is what I have done.
When it all appears to be getting a little too serious, is that when the FUN and games should begin?

Personally, I'd rather laugh than cry, and anyone who disagrees will be given 20 whaps with The Flyswatter
(Can I have it back now please Cate?)

You know, I would rather laugh sometimes too, dare I risk the 20 whaps with The Flyswatter! But I am going to be stubborn here and keep to my own seriousness.
Marisha, where's that poem!!

Queen of the Banana Trolls
Marisha wears her crown lightly
Obscene in the Fruit Bowls
Gets her fruit thrills nightly
Happy to unzip your passion
Swallow you in one
Refusing to ration
Her Royal and cumly fun
Rhyming is for newbies
For some it’s just too easy
Which is why they may switch unexpectedly into prose in order to make a point
That could even happen to me one day
Queen of the Banana Trolls
Doughnut try to emulate her
Just lay her down quietly
With your wisdom, impregnate her

... having just read this.. I find myself crying -- but with happy tears (!).. it is the best you've ever done, Marish.. I'll have to go now, try to collect myself.. but I know I'll be thinking about it some more, and so will try to give you a further critique..
