lay down your arms, Marisha, your antipathy to the golf Legend Arnold Palmer is destructive to the pleasure of this Forum. have you ever thought of incapacitating yourself with a banana soaked 7 Iron ? There are many here would gladly help that process.
Kind Regards
Harry

Violet... the Smurfs are beginning to battle each other for the attention of other trolls, but since they're the only ones paying attention to themselves they're gonna be going at it for a while. Let's just leave them to their do their thing.

It's right to leave them, because the rest of us have IMPORTANT things to which we must attend. We are Men of Substance. We don't play, or tease, or provoke. Hell, NO! The World awaits our declarations and our actions. The eyes of the Starving and the Needy are upon us. Our expressions must be measured at all times. We have a system in place to protect us from the evil of Having Fun. I once knew a man who had fun and he just laughed all his life and never recovered from it. We don't want that happening to others who have the Burden of the World upon their scrawny, scraggy, scrimpy, scrappy shoulders.

.. T.. I know what you mean.. and there are probably self help groups for the likes of me.. I mean something like VIOLET FLOWERS ADDICTED TO HAVING THEIR PETALS SINGED ANONYMOUS.. let's see, that's V.F.A.P.S.A.. hmm.. not too memorable an acronym.. I guess I could add the caps for the smaller words too.. V.F.A.T.H.T.P.S.A... There. That's better. [I.F: notice how I'm using periods now for dramatic effect(!)]..
.. in any event, T.. as usual, I will take your sound words under advisement until that time I am ready to put them to good use in my life.. or at least in my sort of "meta life," here at ye 'ol forum..
.. IN THE MEANTIME.. [and this is no doubt due to the worst hangover I can recall having.. and I mean in YEARS].. but.. taking that into account.. I don't know.. I just feel like coloring..

Harry is attempting to justify his actions on the grounds of humor, but unfortunately he's not really entertaining anyone but himself.

I absolutely agree, the humour is simply not working and I am delighted Teratogen was nominated to speak for everyone here.

.. oh, hi H.. our posts crossed.. anyway, here goes..

.. well T.. I don't know.. this whole forum thing is something like.. well, baking.. you add a bit of spice, perhaps.. you go out on a limb sometimes.. and maybe your apple crumb cake winds up tasting Hawaiian [Cate maybe that's a reference to your pineapple upside-down cate -- uh, cake].. Or, sometimes.. well, you throw out the whole thing.. [or, in his Lordship's case, it might be more of a "pie in the face," sort of thing].. and then you start all over..
.. I do think, like anything else one endeavors to do with anything like consistency, this sometimes trollish manner of chicanery is a dicey business.. sometimes "he" [his Lordship in whatever guise] can hit just the right note with his antics.. and sometimes it's more of a.. well, "ugh" response he may evoke.. and sometimes.. there may even be something to mull over in and amid his madness..
.. having said that.. for Harry to bring up the specter of Self Importance seems of interest to me.. not as a personal attack on you, by the way, T.. that's not what I mean.. I just mean as an idea to consider..
.. there's this problem I see now in the culture, more and more.. in this sometimes oppressive environment of "political correctness".. it has to do with when a reasonable sense of "entitlement," I guess I'll call it (for lack of a better word).. turns into "self importance"..
.. sort of aligned with this.. I've often found that some of the most judgmental people are the "do gooders".. beware the self professed do gooder.. he/she very likely has a double-edged sword..
.. anyway, we are all flawed.. and so it's to see the humor in things, which can save us at times..
v. x
.. much later edit.. I haven't been able to end this on the right note somehow [thus all the edits], and so I snipped a bit the version I was going with until now [thus, the very last edit]..

.. actually.. one more thing..
.. in the interest of full disclosure.. and since it's probably going to come out anyway.. [I mean, it always does]..
.. well.. um.. I happen to be Harry's publicist..

I am very sad that no-one has left a serious critique of this work.

.. well, Marisha, it's the ol' bait and switch tactic being employed here, isn't it?.. you set us up, just as you do "Arnold," with the doughnut (though it would be nice to know what kind of doughnut too.. you might get our hopes up more, like with Cate and her Boston Cream.. you might put in stuff like that, Marish, if you really wanted to stir things up in your two readers.. as for me, a glazed doughnut is always nice.. nice to the touch and taste.. glistening.. ready for the tongue and palate.. etc., etc...
You know, I remember how, a long time ago now, I railed against how I perceived myself to be corrupted by the likes of you.. okay, it wasn't "Marisha" then.. but it was some other dubious trollish someone-or-other.. trying to take a sincere, leonard-and-love-poem-inspired, poem poster.. and turn her into a bonafide (as in banana-fondling).. glazed doughnut glistening.. 0H, honestly, Marisha, you DISGUST ME!!!!!...
I.F. (oh make that your three readers, M.) get that whip out.. let's be sisters of UNMERCY for a change.. I'm just SO TIRED of trying to be NICE all the time!!!.. JUST SO TIRED!!!.. [hmm.. maybe therapy is working finally]..
.. signed,
A Livid Violet Flower.. (!!!!)

Hello Violet, at least you admit you don't understand my poem, that it is too complex for you. That's a start on your Road to Redemption. Well Done!
