For Geoffrey

Hi Geoffrey,
I thought perhaps you might not see my attempt to complete your verse in your earlier thread, amongst all it's neighbouring posts. There are so many busy threads here in Leonardo's Underground lately that at times I am reminded of a bustling jam session where all the musicians are playing lively sets of tunes in all kinds of styles and keys whilst someone chatters through it all....
life is like a butterfly
trapped in the sky
no exit can be truly found
until it falls to a rotting mound
I left comment regarding life and death in your original thread and now enclose a photographic explanation of my views on the positive and negative aspects of death. I believe it is all a matter of individual persepective.
Kind regards
Juan

I think that Geoffrey's a good sport,
we should add on other for Geoffrey items.

for Geoffrey, a list poem
- Purple and blue wild flowers discovered growing
. . . . at a reclaimed landfill
- 2 clothespins – the old fashioned kind
- a black and white French postcard
. . . . of Cleopatra – hide that one from the kids
- some catnip
- brown dress shoes
- beat up sandals
- a list of random forum members passwords
- the corner piece of Birthday cake found at the end of a long and dangerous winding road
- a pair of pink silk…
. .… what? I didn't
. . . . …. Violet can you explain these!?
- chips – crispy outside, soft inside
- a flat chested redhead with freckles
Plus
- a soft kiss to your cheek

.. [as to the dainty pink passage].. certainly.. those are very dainty pink(ish) silk-lace.. well, thongs.. hand sewn way up on a mountaintop somewhere (probably in that quaint land where Geoffrey comes from) by highly sexually repressed (as is often the case).. nuns.. .. (one of whom happens to be very pale and flat chested, with red hair and freckles.. oh, and she's slightly cross-eyed, which makes me think these particular thongs are hers, since the fine lace pattern is a bit on the eccentric side).. (anyway, Geoffrey.. methinks you finally found yer' bride)..
.. um.. Cate.. aren't you inciting a certain (very) unethical activity, with the line I've done up for you in fire-engine red???.. (geesh.. and I thought we'd already gone over all that)..
.. oh, in so speaking.. I don't think the treacherous winding road is nearly as dangerous (thus the dimmer red).. although 'tis also true, the birthday celebrant won't be seeing another birthday.. (still, the cake wasn't all that good, as it happens (that's why we have forensics, after all.. just ask his Lordship).. and so I thought to make a note of it (no, I don't mean about his Lordship.. I make enough notes about him)..
.. oh, I'm also seeing some "wobbly" looking words in there, visually speaking.. but I think I'll leave the obviously secret (no doubt perverse.. though that's just a guess) meaning of these highly coded passages between you and G..
.. well, Cate.. given all the tender loving care you've put into this (rather wonderful, to tell you the truth) list.. I'd say you have something of a crush on Geoffrey yourself.. I guess spring really is in the air..
v i o l e t.. (oh yeah.. the purple and blue wild flowers.. but at a reclaimed land fill??.. Cate, are you still mad about my borrowing your "grab my banana" material??)..

it is, it is and it's a great one so far, although I'm still wondering where the bees have gotten to...

Yep for sure, but of a friendly/Uncley variety – the I’d like to sit close to you and eat chips while we tell silly stories laughing ourselves silly variety, as opposed to the I want to say pervey things to you variety
(shhhhhh re the pervey thing btw - I think he thinks I’m nice). I also have a writing style crush going on too – I love his stories and random thinking pieces. I just listed G images that came to mind mostly from stuff he’s written – the wild flowers were from a long ago post in the politics section hence that’s why 'landfill' - I’m not sure why they were purple and blue that’s just what they looked like in my head - I like purple and blue.
No secret code, but that’s a good idea – I always think that sort of thing is fun.
It kind of bugs me that when you type everything has to be in straight lines and all the letters the same height – it’s a bit sterile. I’m not a word person, I’m visual images in my head person, so if I’m hand printing something, some words or letters will be bigger then other or darker/lighter or spaced apart or have a scratchy picture beside it, but if you transcribe onto here it's all uniform.

.. hi again, Cate.. (happy spring!)..
.. I guess I should read some of Geoffrey's stuff in the other sections.. oh, I just happened to have read the one about him seeking this red-headed bride.. oh, and she has to be a bit cross-eyed too, it seems.. (nice touch, G.)..
.. oh, one final note for clarification: the red-headed nun I wrote about, well, when I said the pink dainty-lace thongs were hers, I meant that they would have been sewn by her.. I mean, she'd never wear such things.. (I hope that puts your mind at ease, G.)..
