Hi there friendly people. This is my first post here so I'll introduce myself a little bit. I'm Arjen, a 24-year old leonard Cohen fan from the Ntherlands. Well, that's not really much of an introduction but trust me, all the interesting details of my life are now mentioned. :D Anyway, composed a number of small songs to go with five of Leonard Cohen's music and figured some here might be interested.

You can check out the first track here: http://www.box.net/shared/j8o3dls8d4
And if you like it download the whole thing here: http://www.box.net/shared/61ig1dhuu2

I hope someone might find some moments of enjoyment here. Comments greatly appreciated and I hope I posted it all in the right forum!

Hi Arjen,

I have just listened to LC's recitation of 'Too Old'. Are you saying that you composed the music behind the recitation? If you have, I would just like to say how wonderfully this music flows with his voice and words. Thank you and welcome to the forum- it's nice to have you here!

Best regards,
Mary

Thank you for the kind welcome, Mary. :) Yes, I composed the music. I went online to find some recitations LC did amidst interviews and such and added music to them after being blown away by his recitations on Book of Longing. I have all his music but never heared of his work with Mr. Glass, another favourite of mine. IIRC he recited this one when being interviewed in the Buddhist centre but my memory is as fuzzy as it always is. Feel free to check the rest out. Oh, if there are people here who write their own poems and would like to collab with me just let me know, it's always great to meet new people with a passion for the arts.

Thanks again for the kind words!
