Written a few years ago....

Heroic Measures

When the miles of
Never having known you
find me awake;
the man I designed you to be…
And the man you are,
were of no consequence.

A seed matching my needs
Blew across two oceans and
Found me,
with mathematical precision-
Tied by the hand of destiny
when she saw me
Unraveling.

The brilliant ribbon of possibilities
reason enough
to orchestrate a planting,
in my fertile soul and the
Bloom of you
Wears a scent
that lingers
Each time
I hear your voice
or wear your
Courage
as if my own.

I won't go into all the reasons I love this, Laurie. I'll just let it go with saying that I love the way you write, and the things that you express. Your poetry brims with substance and beauty.

Well, I won't go into the reasons i wrote this, but when ya need courage so much that you gotta borrow, it can't be too good..

Hey Laurie- That was an amazing piece. Wonderful...
It did however leave me feelin' blue and I don't know why exactly...

Well, it is a bit of a melancholy piece...hence the "blues"
But it is also about 'surviving' so... don't despair.
