I think it's about time Canada honoured Leonard Cohen by putting his face on stamps. He is the face of Canadian music. Jamaica already has Bob Marley stamps. The U.S. has stamps for almost everything.

Have you voted yet for Leonard's being put into Canada's Hall of Fame?

Jarkko ~ I haven't seen your post on it here yet. Did I miss it?

~ Lizzy

Yes, by all means, to a stamp!

Yes you did - it's in the "News" section with the following
subject: "Our Man and Canada's Walk of Fame"

Oh good ~ Not that I missed it  , but that it's there....and now those here, who don't visit there, 'can run ~ not walk ~ to vote' [to paraphrase or quote someone I know  ].

Thanks!

Oh good, Yankovic ~ and if you used your Ottawa address, your vote ~ for sure ~ counted! I'm hoping that the non-Canadians who vote will still be considered in the same sense that 'write-ins' are in our elections here. If they were to win, they would still win, regardless of their not having been a 'declared candidate.' The 'write-in' for this contest is the voter vs. the candidate. The format for the voting just doesn't seem to allow for non-Canadians, and the site knows full well that the poll is visible worldwide!

We get lots of pretty pictures too, but always with the queen's head on them somewhere. It's the only thing that identifies them as british - they don't have the name of the country on.
