Leonardos, you're my man

I've never been afraid to love
although I sometimes ran
In every drowning moment yet
I found the strength and swam
I dreamt I walked a country lane
with you and Don Juan
But that was in the summertime
away in far off lands

As music wafted through and
all around me I was formed
A spirit of rebellion
cut from pure obsidian
The Chieftan sang your songs to us
the women wrought their hands
And down the generations passed
the spirits of the damned

You knew that I was coming
You said that I would look
You told me so
You wrote it in your juicy little book
I am just a melody, one you'll never know
But Leonardos, darling, I have wandered through your soul

I had a vision of a beach
and you upon white sand
The angels and I sang your song
the ocean made a band
Oh hey - I found that cure for love
I get it by the gram
Most intimate of strangers,
Leonardos, you're my man

Just a note that 'Juan' of "Juan Juanders" is possibly short for Juanette, and I am in fact female...
One Wonders why...

In any case, does it even matter? I suppose it will matter to some if I write about miscarriage and other such womanly things...
