I got the same information from AEG tonight, too, but Sturgess66 had already posted it!

What a cute caricature Jarkko.

I would love to go if they were in my area.

And I meant to leave links to their Facebook and MySpace sites as well -

Morgan,

Since this is the Webb Sisters and not LC, it may turn into a present for him ;-) .

Note that the Jan. 9 concert in Long Beach with Rufus Wainright is NOT listed in the first couple of posts on this thread, but is noted on a later post. I'm going as already had plans to be on the left coast then.

Maybe because we obsess so much about him. My husband calls us 'cultists'. Thankfully, he likes LC. I can't believe your boyfriend will not go see the Webbs with you and on your birthday! I hope you do go - a bit of niggling guilt might seep into your boyfriend and he gives in and goes with you. It's worked for me when I've told my husband I will go to an LC concert by myself (knowing I would never be 'by myself', but would be surrounded by forum members and other fans :D ) and then lo and behold, he says he'd like to go also. It's been almost 2 mos. since the last concert and he's telling me he wants to go to another - and he call me a cultist   .

Morgan, go and enjoy!!!

THE WEBB SISTERS: Siblings often start singing together when they're juuust about yay high. If they grow up to form a band, as Charley and Hattie Webb did, you can bet the harmonies will be tight. The British duo also toured with Leonard Cohen, which is about as major-prop-sy as major props get. They're at Hotel Cafe tonight, and at the Terrace Theatre in Long Beach on Saturday.

THE WEBB SISTERS: If you happened to catch one of Leonard Cohen’s three New York concerts last year, you might remember the two girls in his band he referred to as his “angels.” The girls with halos were the Webb Sisters, Charley and Hattie (below). Their album, still untitled, is due later this spring, but in the meantime they have a four-song teaser EP called “The Other Side” that has a musical depth born in an acoustic Celtic tradition. Their music might be considered folk by some, but their harmonies transcend any one style.
