hey all,
i wrote this after thinking about leonard's wonderful line from 'The Street' -
'It’s going to be September now
For many years to come'
i've been struggling with it so any advice would be great. by the way i've just named my cat leonard.

September

The dead leaves sound
Like dead time falling
The world turns brown.

And dead leaves look
Like bodies falling
In clear September air.

Below the buildings
On early mornings,
The littered site

Of endless leaves
Brings ghosts moving
Through twisted trees

And smells of smoke
On early mornings,
Recalls the site

Of leaves falling,
Beneath the buildings
Where September lives
For months to come.
