What is your favourite nature sound?
I love the sound of the rain, the frogs "singing" in the summer night and the soft sound that make crickets in quiet rooms (among many others)

I have a few favourite sounds, the rain pouring down while you are snug inside, my kids voices and the word Mum unless it is constant  laughter, the cat purring and Leonard is very easy on the ears. I would tell you my favourite smell but I don't have a sense of smell or taste and the only smell I can remember from when I could smell is tar and TCP both pretty nasty smells. :(

The sound of birds waking up in the morning.

Sitting on the beach listening to the ocean and the waves coming onto the shore.

The sound of wind in the trees, also the sound at night of a blizzard outside while you are snug in your bed. Knowing everyone is safe and warm.

Hi Linda!
the sounds of birds in the morning......yes, beautiful
Here in Chile in the forest up in the mountains there is a bird nobody sees but sings with a unique sound that you hear like if someone is saying "fio" then he stops for a while and says it again......for a long period. Nobody sees it but it is a real "talking" indeed

...the sound of breeze through pine trees
...the sound of the rain on a tin roof
...the sound of crickets at night
...the sound of rolling and crashing thunder
...the sound of a hard wind
...the sound of a lightning strike, purely as sound, not for what it means
...the sound of a waterfall
...the sound of feet as they break through crunchy snow
...the sound of a canary
...the sound of all wild birds

I have more, but I also have some important things to do tonite for tomorrow.

Wonderful question, Sandra :D

The sound of feet walking across gravel. I made our patio with stretches of gravel so that I could hear it. Crunch crunch. I hear it. Crunch crunch. I feel it.

the sound of a waterfall
the sound of waves coming to shore

but the best of them all:
a sound of silence(e. g. in a forest) every once in a while

Ohhhh, you got mine, Greta :D

...silence ~ anywhere
...rustling leaves
...walking through leaves ~ a soft, but somehow snappy, whuuush
...water lapping against the side of a wooden boat, as it sits in a harbour
...a slow and steady rain

Beautiful topic!

I love the sounds of all birds,
~ the sounds of barking dogs,
~ the sounds of all animals when they are happy and healthy! :)

~ the muffled and expectant, silent sound of falling snow! :)

Love, Susanne
