Excellent verse Byron!
You have managed to be both translucent and succinct.

Thank you both. I was always taught to allow the reader the room to bring their own imagery to one's prose and poetic form.
I have endeavoured to give the reader the widest expanse possible wherein he/she can illuminate the essences of the piece I've presented to her/him.
Having watched the Turner Prize winners over so many years, I feel that at the very least I can hold my own in their esteemed company, if only as an 'umble jobbing wordsmith. ( rubbing hands together in a slimy and ingratiating sort of way )

"Ooooh, whip me whip me, but don't hurt me."
A very old clip from
'Round The Horn,' by Jules and Sandie.

My favourite lines are the two in the very middle, Byron. Well done

Thank you Elizabeth. I struggled long, longer and hard, to discover the form of 'beat' and multilayered transcendence of those particular lines.
I am delighted that you have grasped that nettle, which is tremendously difficult, given the previous ascendence (spl ?) and the following lowering of tonal delivery of the two enveloping lines. Well spotted.

Byron mon, where I come from, that kind of talk is called 'speakey-spokey'

For speakey-spokey, I would say I'm intoxicated by the exuberance of my own verbosity.

Dunno - seems a little to verbose for me
