This is a masterpiece for the iliterate few.
The Soldier in the Name of Silence
The sun is warm when life is free
but, the moon has risen tonight
So I entertain these thoughts of life and death
as my body is brought near the light
Let us not forget our lives of faith,
we all serve a god or friend
A space in the shelf of the heart
is a place we all must lend
Who is it who summons me
on such a faithfull night?
O I am the flesh, the blood and the light
who errects this temple with your might
I lay upon my song of dreams
with tongue of blunted star
The children warm in your sweet embrace
as I gaze out; long and far
Do not fear what you have longed for
the planets have broken their silence
Go forth my child, your time has come
you are the soldier in the name of silence
The Soldier in the Name of Silence
The sun is warm when life is free
but, the moon has risen tonight
So I entertain these thoughts of life and death
as my body is brought near the light
Let us not forget our lives of faith,
we all serve a god or friend
A space in the shelf of the heart
is a place we all must lend
Who is it who summons me
on such a faithfull night?
O I am the flesh, the blood and the light
who errects this temple with your might
I lay upon my song of dreams
with tongue of blunted star
The children warm in your sweet embrace
as I gaze out; long and far
Do not fear what you have longed for
the planets have broken their silence
Go forth my child, your time has come
you are the soldier in the name of silence
