a poor and unauthorised notebook sketch (from my 'facebook' account), drawn without leonard's permission - while he was engaged in deep conversation with a lady.

No way is this 'poor'
Well done!
Did you eavesdrop on what they were talking about?

Well, they were just discussing man's attraction to woman. I didn't catch every word, but did hear Leonard say something like: "A woman is everything to a man. His mother, wife, mistress - you name it. At first he seeks one woman amongst the many, and then he seeks the many in her."

Geoffrey this is fantastic!
You've really captured how focused and interested he is in his conversation.

firstly, may i thank those who have made kind and encouraging comments.
regarding your request, imaginary friend, this is perhaps not the place to post my humble contributions to the world of art - though i have been brazen enough to create a small censored gallery for my friends on facebook. the reason for presenting my efforts is because i have been reticent to show my drawings to anyone, and am trying to learn to overcome this crippling shyness based on fear of analysis and criticism. rebuilding self confidence after it has been shattered is a painstaking process.

That's beautiful, Geoffrey... with the quote, it's a complete package, perfect and ready for publishing... or framing, with the quote beneath it. If it were available in that form, I would be your first customer.

Well, I don't think my effort is that good, but could send a high resolution (about 870 KB) scan to anyone who might wish for a copy - but that would mean providing me with an email address. A guest from abroad is coming to stay with me tomorrow night, and will be here for about eight days. Therefore I may not be online so much - but will try to manage a few minutes here and there. Thank you, Elizabeth, for touching me with the kindness of your spirit. As you know, there are some really nasty bastards about. Like me, you've probably met one or two.

Geoffrey,
I absolutely LOVE the drawing! And the quote. I would love to get a copy of it as well. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!
My email is
Blue88@aol.com... if you are indeed sending out to interested folks.
As for being shy about your art, I understand. It's difficult at times to create art and then tap it's little bottom and send it off into the world. But I want you to know that I'm better off for you having done just that with this WONDERFUL drawing of Leonard. Thank you Geoffrey!!!
Very sincerely,
Jayne

Hi Geoffrey ~
Is it possible to have a form of the above included beneath your reproduction of it, with the quoted portion fully intact? Something like: Leonard discussing man's attraction to woman with a lady. I didn't catch every word, but did hear Leonard say something like: "A woman is everything to a man. His mother, wife, mistress - you name it. At first he seeks one woman amongst the many, and then he seeks the many in her."
OR
If you had to, simply the quote itself? The rest could be explained.
I'm so happy to hear you have a guest from abroad coming for eight days. Such great company that will be for you there. I wonder if I can dig out your old email address, if it'll still work... since you're unreachable by PM now. Then, I can give you my email address.
