"As a tear fades away
And the dawn dries a lovers eyes
No more tears, they're all gone
Just believe this will always be"
Hard to believe right now.
The video is wonderful and sad, Henning, sad news indeed...
Yes. R.I.P., Willy DeVille

Of course, Mink Deville. Now I have the connection. Really enjoy his work. His music will be missed.

I drank myself into the land of nowhere last night. Thanks for the comment Ann-Kristin. I hope you get promoted soon.
Thanks - Mary and John.
Oh my - this guy was something else.
Diethard Kuester, who I met during a Lucinda Williams concert in Berlin at Universal Hall (ring - ring), was director of a 90 minutes report on Marianne Faithful, Willy De Ville and Leonard Cohen, called "Beautiful Losers". It includes interviews and what they've got to say about each other.
I must be dreaming but there seems to be no doubt. He's gone. He was just heart and soul.

Henning. So sorry to hear this news. I have his live cd and Heaven stood still was my favourite song on it. Thanks a million for sharing the links to his songs again. Another star dims in the heavens. As long as these amazing creators have appreciators like you Henning, they will never really die.
You are a true music lover
Best wishes
Tindy

So sad to hear this...
Willy was one of those true unique characters in music...
I remember the "Beatiful Losers" documentary that Henning talked about,
can't recall what Leonard said about Willy, but i remember the last
words Willy said at the End: "There must be a better World somewhere..."
I hope he is there now!
Rest in Peace Willy
