The Scourge of Computers

And they said we would be killed by those machines
the creatures with no emotions, those binary fiends
and we gave them noughts and ones
and expected them to shine like the sun
and we gave them artificial intelligence, one day
to entertain us in the games we like to play
and suddenly we were the hunted and they were the hunter
as we sat endlessly in front of them, with fast food, looking like billy bunter
and we refused to use our brain no more
in our endevours to increase our game score
and the flickering lights and escapism turned us to zombies
in trying to outdo ourselves if you please
and the machine artifically laughed at our plight
as we took a heart attack in the middle of the night
and continued to live long past us
no decaying or turning into dust
